Job summary

Network Plus in Battle is offering a Graduate Recruitment placement with a salary of £30,000 per year. You will join the graduate cohort, receive mentorship, and work within the commercial team on cost data, reporting and subcontractor processes.

You will help drive cost insights, review subcontractor payments, and contribute to weekly performance updates, with travel required and a focus on early responsibility and learning by doing.

Qualifications

• Final-year students or recent graduates with a relevant degree (2:2 or above).
• Full UK driving licence (some travel).
• Proficient IT skills including Excel and Word.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to learn by doing.

Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring work activities against the pre-determined schedule, items supplied and costs.
• Monitoring staff, labour and plant hire rates; compiling monthly reports and cost allocation.
• Organising and tracking procurement of sub-contractors.
• Preparing and governance-justified subcontractor payments.
• Assisting in placing subcontract task orders per main contract.
• Attending operational and subcontractor meetings; monitoring against programme.
• Assisting in preparing client and subcontract final accounts.
• Keeping risk and change registers up to date; supporting expenditure monitoring and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and monitoring of work activities carried out against the pre-determined schedule, the number of items supplied and costs

• Being responsible for the preparation and internal governance authorisation of subcontractor payments
• Assisting in the placing of subcontract tasks orders in accordance with the main contract
• Attending operational & subcontractor meetings; monitoring subcontractors against programme
• Assisting in the preparation of client and subcontract final accounts
• Ensuring the risk register and change register is kept up to date
• Supporting the monitoring of internal expenditure against budget/ cost plans and maximise the efficiency of reporting techniques and systems

Experience and Qualifications
