Job description
Graduate Quality Engineer (23 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Brackley, United Kingdom

Build your skills. Make an impact. Race towards excellence.

Every dream needs a team.

About the role:

Join the Quality Engineering Team as we take on the challenge of Formula One’s exciting new era of sustainable technical regulations.

Are you ready to kick-start your engineering career at the pinnacle of motorsport?

Our Quality Engineering Team plays a vital role in ensuring that only the highest-quality components and assemblies make it onto our race‑winning Formula 1 car. We work across the business to champion a Right‑First‑Time mindset, collaborating with Design, Engineering and Operational teams, as well as our external suppliers, to deliver excellence at every stage.

From developing product specifications aligned with process capability to managing supplier performance and resolving issues rapidly and robustly, our work is fast‑paced, impactful, and essential to success on track.

We also lead Continuous Improvement initiatives and support the management of our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, helping drive efficiency and innovation across the organisation.

Your Graduate Experience:

We don’t offer a fixed graduate programme. Instead, we tailor your experience to your strengths and interests. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain exposure to a wide range of activities within the department. Your work will have a direct impact on our F1 programme — and your contribution will be valued from day one.

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
  • A self‑motivated team player with a winning mindset and a passion for motorsport.
  • A recently completed degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Automotive, Aeronautical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to deliver cross‑functional results.
  • A curious mindset, commitment to continuous learning, and adaptability in a fast‑changing environment.
Desirable:
  • Basic understanding of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001 or similar) and exposure to quality tools (e.g. 8D, 5‑Why).
  • Hands‑on experience with vehicles (e.g. Formula Student, race series volunteering, kit car builds).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings (including GD&T).
  • Coding or programming skills (e.g. VBA, Python).
  • Data analysis and visualisation skills (e.g. Power BI).
Benefits:

When you put the effort in, we give it back. Start with a competitive salary, add in a world‑class wellbeing programme (including a free on‑site gym), delicious subsidised food, and private medical cover – all on our riverside campus powered by 100% renewable energy. You’ll have everything you need to thrive both inside and outside of work.

How to apply:
  • Submit your CV and cover letter as a single PDF to our Workday portal.
  • Complete our application form.

You will be required to meet the eligibility criteria of the Graduate programme including any right to work requirements for your application to progress. As these roles are based in the UK, any visa sponsorship must meet current Home Office immigration rules.
