Job summary

Eton College seeks six Graduate Teachers to join the Physics department on a two-year fixed-term contract starting in September 2027. The role offers full teacher training, structured mentoring, and opportunities to pursue QTS via an apprenticeship route.

You will join a large, well-resourced department to teach Year 9 science with a focus on Physics, while engaging in co-curricular and pastoral duties within a busy boarding school community.

Qualifications

• A good undergraduate degree (2:1 or above) in a curriculum subject.
• Ability to engage with students across a broad science curriculum.
• Willingness to pursue QTS Apprenticeship Route and PGCE online through NITE and Coventry.

Responsibilities

• Develop as a classroom practitioner under mentor and Head of Programme.
• In Year 2, complete QTS (Apprenticeship Route) with PGCE.
• Contribute to department activities, resources, and university applications support.
• Support co-curricular and pastoral activities as part of boarding school life.
