Job summary

Saffery Champness is recruiting a Graduate Personal Tax Trainee (ATT/CTA) in High Wycombe, commencing September 2027. You’ll study towards the ATT/CTA tax pathway while gaining on-the-job experience under expert guidance.

The firm supports a structured three-year training contract with dedicated tuition centres and mentorship, offering exposure to high net worth private clients and diverse sectors in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 2:1 undergraduate degree (expected or obtained) in any discipline.
• 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels or Highers (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths and English Language at least 6/B (or equivalent).
• AAT qualification welcomed; exemptions possible.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tax returns, computations and other compliance filings for clients.
• Work with financial and client data to support reporting, analysis and submissions.
• Use specialist software and systems to deliver tax work.
• Carry out technical research and support client projects, queries and advisory work.
• Prepare reports, calculations and documentation for review by senior colleagues.
• Build relationships with clients and colleagues while gaining exposure to various industries and sectors.
• Contribute to delivering accurate, practical solutions for clients’ tax obligations and goals.
• Work on specialist personal tax planning projects.
