Job description
Graduates - Psychology / Sociology / Criminology - 90 to 100 per day

This is the kind of role that will give you the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals and gain practical hands‑on experience using your studies and knowledge. You will also be building up a portfolio of work and outstanding experience, and building your network for further career development.

Join a remarkable, purpose‑built all‑age school (3-19 years) dedicated to transforming the lives of children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). Our pupils may have additional sensory needs, physical disabilities or display challenging behaviour - and they deserve the very best support.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, imaginative and energetic individuals who are passionate about psychology and supporting young people. You’ll be part of a highly skilled team supporting 125 pupils through a rich, personalised curriculum, being trained in using approaches such as PECS, Makaton, TEACCH, Sensory Integration, Positive Touch and a range of complementary therapies.

The role would entail supporting a child with needs on a one‑to‑one basis, assisting them in learning, social skills, understanding concepts, encouraging communication, ensuring they feel comfortable and safe, and motivating them to achieve.

The role would include supporting children during social activities, outings, and sports events, and helping them during therapy sessions, as well as supporting the teacher in the classroom and playground.

Whether you’re experienced or new to the field, you’ll receive tailored training, shadowing opportunities, and ongoing professional development to help you grow and thrive in your role.

HOURS: Monday to Friday from 08h30 to 15h30 (school term time)

PAY: 90 to 110 per day (including holiday pay)

If you’re ready to make a real difference every day, we’d love to hear from you.
