Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking a Graduate Naval Architect to support basic design, analysis and development of naval and commercial marine vessels across various shipbuilding projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assist with vessel design activities, stability assessments, weight management and technical documentation to ensure designs meet requirements.

Qualifications

• MEng degree (or expected) in Naval Architecture, Ship Science, Ocean Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to learn and adapt to naval architecture software packages.
• Understanding of stability, hydrostatics and vessel arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing naval architecture and ship design solutions for new build, repair and conversion projects.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports and design documentation.
• Support vessel stability analyses, including intact and damage stability.
