Job summary

Stantec in Birmingham is launching a 2027 Graduate Programme for a Mechanical Engineer in our Buildings discipline. You will support MEP project delivery, work across disciplines, perform calculations, and develop BIM models to deliver sustainable building solutions.

You will be encouraged to gain professional accreditation (IEng/CEng) and must have the right to live/work in the UK. The role requires office presence four days per week and a permanent contract path through Stantec.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering related discipline.
• Knowledge of Microsoft packages.
• Interest in working in the Buildings sector.

Join our 2027 Graduate Programme as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer in our Birmingham office, where you will be part of a market-leading Buildings discipline.

About The Role

Day to day you'll be:

• Supporting the delivery of MEP projects through the development of mechanical and electrical building services designs.
• Assisting with the coordination of designs across disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Undertaking engineering calculations using industry-standard software tools.
• Contributing to the preparation of technical specifications, reports, and design documentation.
• Producing and developing 3D designs and models using BIM and related design software.
• Collaborating with colleagues and clients to help deliver high-quality, sustainable engineering solutions.

We are committed to supporting employees in achieving relevant professional qualifications and accreditation. The applicable professional qualification for this role is IEng or CEng status with the CIBSE, IET or ImechE.

About You
