Job title: Graduate Digital Intelligence Material Scientist

Location: Great Baddow

Working arrangement: Hybrid and flexible. Expected to attend site 3–5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Providing rapid troubleshooting and failure analysis service related to components, production and processes.
  • Using test and analytical equipment to ensure problems are solved in a timely fashion, supporting colleagues on a wide range of enquiries.
  • Preparing technical reports, test procedures, process specifications and other product documentation.
  • Knowledge of materials properties, selection, processing and testing, ideally encompassing polymers, metals, ceramics and composites, adhesives, surface finishes and coatings.
  • Working with analytical techniques such as SEM/EDX, XRF, 3D X‑ray/CT, tensile testing, material/sample preparation, DSC/TGA, FTIR (EGA), TMA, DMA, NDT techniques, etc. (In‑house training will be provided). A proven track record in a production, electronics or quality environment is preferable.
