Job summary

A global leader in solid oxide technology is seeking a Graduate Manufacturing Process Technician on a 12-month FTC. You will be responsible for following detailed work instructions, operating process equipment, and maintaining production data in a shift-based role. Ideal candidates will have basic engineering or manufacturing skills and some manufacturing experience. The job offers a salary of £26,481 with a shift allowance, along with the opportunity to contribute to innovative and sustainable energy solutions.

Qualifications

  • Basic engineering, scientific, chemical or manufacturing process skills preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is required.
  • Experience in controlled areas like cleanrooms is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Follow work instructions to manufacture fuel cells.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and record production data.
  • Operate process equipment under controlled conditions.
  • Perform visual and in-process quality checks.
  • Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain stocks of raw materials.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Engineering teams.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

Graduate Manufacturing Process Technician (12 month FTC)

Salary is £26,481 + 20% shift allowance = £31,777

The role will be shift work: 1 week on early shift (06.00 – 14.00) and the following week on late shift (13.45 – 10.00)

All training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Following detailed work instructions to manufacture fuel cells
  • Accurately weighing, measuring, and recording production data
  • Operating process equipment under tightly controlled conditions
  • Performing visual and in‑process quality checks
  • Identifying and reporting non‑conformances and supporting corrective actions
  • Maintaining stocks of raw materials
  • Collaborating with R&D and Engineering teams on continuous improvement
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety requirements
🔍 What We’re Looking For
  • Basic engineering, scientific, chemical or manufacturing process skills (preferred)
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience
  • Experience working in controlled areas (GMP, cleanroom) is an advantage
  • Familiarity with quality control measurement and reporting
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • A proactive mindset and high accuracy in your work
