A government audit agency is seeking Trainee Auditors to join their Graduate Trainee Scheme in Torquay, providing financial support towards becoming a qualified Chartered Accountant. Candidates will undertake audit assignments and be involved in drafting reports and engaging with stakeholders. This role requires an honours degree or equivalent, and a passion for public service. Suitable candidates must demonstrate rights to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training, which is typically 54 months.
Audit Scotland supports the Auditor General for Scotland and the Accounts Commission to provide independent, objective assurance on how public money is being managed.
Audit Scotland's Graduate Trainee Scheme provides financial support to become a qualified Chartered Accountant with ICAS. You will obtain a prestigious qualification while auditing public bodies in Scotland, planning and delivering audit work, and contributing to audit reports and other outputs.
Stage 2 – Successful applicants will be invited to complete an online simulation assessment, a written analysis exercise.
Stage 3 – Successful candidates will be invited to a final interview. The interview will be competency‑based and will assess the competencies required for the role.
