Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Graduate Learning Mentor to join a fantastic primary school in Whitley Bay from September 2026. This role offers hands-on classroom experience supporting children academically, socially and emotionally as you progress toward teacher training or other education-based careers.

You will work with teachers to deliver small group lessons, support learning interventions, and help create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment that encourages pupil engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate with any degree; teaching-related background not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, proactive and eager to develop in education.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils in class and during interventions.
• Deliver small group learning activities with the class teacher.
• Build pupils' confidence and encourage engagement in learning.
• Provide additional support to children with varying learning needs.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to help every child succeed.
