Are you a recent graduate looking for experience within a school or education setting? Are you considering a future career in education or a teacher training qualification but unsure how to start on this path?

We are recruiting for Graduate Learning Support Assistants to support secondary schools across Salford to work on a full time, part-time or day-to-day basis for the rest of the academic year.

What does a Graduate Learning Support Assistant do?
  • Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis to ensure they are succeeding both academically and pastorally, responding to their individual needs
  • Working alongside class teachers and other school staff, providing essential additional support
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students, improving the whole school learning journey
  • Delivering catch-up and intervention sessions
What will you need for this job?

For this role you will require a recent university degree in any topic, but English, Maths, Sciences and Social Sciences such as Psychology are especially desirable. You must have a clear desire to work with children and young people, and previous experience working with children and young people would be beneficial, but not essential. You will also need willingness to undertake relevant CPD training as required by Milk Education and your placement school.
