Jacobs in Manchester is seeking a Graduate Landscape Architect to join our Water and Environment team on the two-year Graduate Development Program. You’ll work on large-scale sustainability projects from concept through planning and construction, supported by mentors and a structured development plan.

As part of the GDP you’ll gain exposure to real project work, benefit from blended learning and bi-annual salary reviews, and receive guidance toward your Chartership with the Landscape Institute,

Our two-year Graduate Development Program is designed to accelerate your growth as you begin your Jacobs career. Through blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you’ll build capability across four key areas human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy, and developing your personal passions.

You’ll tailor your learning journey to your interests, career goals and technical strengths — creating a graduate experience that’s uniquely yours. Much of your development will come through real project work, supported by your manager and mentor to ensure you gain the experiences that matter most.

The Graduate Development Program isn’t just a steppingstone — it’s a launchpad. You’ll gain the tools, exposure and support to unlock your potential, working on meaningful projects and collaborating with industry leaders to deliver solutions to complex challenges.

About The Opportunity

At Jacobs,we’retransforming intangible ideas into innovative solutionsdesigning the future-today with problem solving some of the big issues facing us currently such as water resources, flooding, sustainabletraveland infrastructure.We’relooking for dynamic and engaged people to join our team of over 70 landscape architects across multiple offices throughout the UK.

Asa Graduate Landscape Architect based in our Manchester office, you will be involved with helping create solutions. Jacobs has long term contracts working on some of the UK and Ireland’s largest sustainable infrastructure and development projects and we want to grow our Water and Environment team to meet the ever-increasing demand within this sector. Our team delivers projects from concept stage through to planning and construction and we are looking for enthusiastic, innovative and flexible staff to join this highly successful team.

You will join a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects both locally and internationally. You will work as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of landscape architects, providing support and advice to a wide range of clients and working within a multi-disciplinary team. There will also be opportunities to experience different roles within the Water and Environment team aimed at developing your career.

We also fully support our graduates on the Landscape Institute’s 'Pathway to Chartership' with an experienced team of mentors to help your chartership journey and financial support. You will also have the opportunity to be on Jacob's Graduate Development Program, with bi-yearly salary reviews. We also encourage graduates to apply who are starting their second careers as landscape architects.

The start date for this position is September 2027.
