Graduate Laboratory Technician (Molecular Biology, Biology, Biomedical)

Contract: Permanent – Location: Crawley (on‑site). Salary: £24,000 p/a + overtime. Start date: 19 November 2025. Contact: Hannah Williams, Hannah.Williams@russell-taylor.co.uk.

Russell Taylor Group is recruiting a graduate Laboratory Technician with a degree in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or related field to support our client's processing laboratory. This role offers experience in cleanroom techniques, aseptic processing and regulatory compliant practices, contributing to stem cell sample processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and test biological samples following HTA licence requirements and GLP/GMP standards.
  • Work in Class A/B cleanrooms using aseptic techniques to maintain sterility.
  • Validate and assess sample processing for accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain laboratory records, SOPs and database entries.
  • Monitor lab environment, stock levels and cleanliness.
  • Support team members by reviewing work and maintaining high standards.
  • Liaise with couriers, healthcare professionals and customers regarding sample handling.
The Person
  • Recent graduate in Molecular Biology, Biology, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or similar.
  • Strong academic knowledge with interest in practical laboratory work.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and IT literate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Awareness of laboratory standards, aseptic techniques and cleanroom practices (training provided).
  • Reliable, organised and capable of prioritising tasks.
  • Full, valid driving licence and own vehicle.
