Job summary

Attewell Ltd, Hayes, Middlesex, is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate internal planning by work centre, balance demand with capacity, and drive continuous improvement. You will work with Operations, Supply Chain and Customer Service to keep schedules aligned with factory capability and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong MRP understanding, superb data handling, and effective communication. UK right to work is required; 37.5 hours per week, hybrid/onsite arrangements available.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of MRP and knowledge of principles.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (ability to manage and manipulate data).
• Ability to work unsupervised in a rapidly growing organisation and respond quickly to requirements.
• Analytical, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for internal planning by work centre. Analyse demand and capacity to achieve optimum work centre load
• Monitor Production adherence against plan, work closely with Operations team to ensure alignment and execution of plan.
• Take ownership and drive continuous improvement of internal KPI's, understanding any deviations
• Drive and develop recovery plans within the internal Operational Team where appropriate.
• Work with Supply Chain on material availability concerns and ensure continuity of supply.
• Investigate MRP anomalies, ascertain root cause and implement corrective actions
• Schedule customer demand in line with factory capacity with Programs & Customer Service Team.
• Daily update of CSR report on overdues and chased orders from the customer service team.
• Monitoring and Tracking Progress of NPI within the manufacturing process.
• optimise production schedule to maximise productivity whilst meeting customer deliveries
• Daily gathering of data on cycle time updates and identify cycle time errors
• Report daily slow-moving WIP and unblock SMW with corrective actions

Main duties and responsibilities

• Work with the Programs & Customer Service Team to schedule customer demand in line with factory capacity.
• Daily update of CSR report on any overdues and chased orders from the customer service team.
• Monitoring and Tracking Progress of New Products Introduction (NPI) within the manufacturing process.
• Working with Section Leads to optimise production schedule to maximise productivity whilst meeting customer deliveries
• Daily gathering of data on cycle time updates + support Section Leads with identifying cycle time errors (eg. timing manufacture of jobs as required).
• Report daily slow-moving WIP, including root cause and ensuring that actions required to unblock SMW are completed on time (including for treatment and inspection)

Experience required

• Good understanding of MRP and knowledge of principles.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office (ability to manage and manipulate high volumes of data in a digestible format for presentations)
• Ability to work unsupervised in a rapidly growing organisation and respond quickly to requirements, prioritising effectively
• Analytical, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail and the ability to work across the organisation
• Excellent interpersonal -communication skills and attention to detail.
