Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency is seeking dynamic Graduates for various support roles, including Cover Teacher and Teaching Assistant. Ideal candidates will have experience or a desire to work in education and must be available at least 2 days a week. Strong knowledge of safeguarding is essential. Positions located in York, North Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Passionate about supporting children and young people.
• Knowledgeable about special educational needs.
• Available at least 2 days per week during term time.
• Hold a Child only DBS or be willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Work in various support positions including Cover Teacher and Teaching Assistant.
• Assist teachers and support children in academic and social development.
• Ensure safeguarding and child protection compliance.

With partnerships with local secondary and special educational needs schools, due to an increase in demand, we are currently seeking dynamic Graduates to work in a range of support positions, such as a Cover Teacher, Teaching Assistant or Cover Supervisor.

Job Roles available to you include, but are not limited to:

• Supply Teacher
• General Teaching Assistant
• 1:1 Teaching Assistant
• SEN Teaching Assistant
• Higher Level Teaching Assistant

As the ideal candidate, you will:

• Previous experience in an educational or training role (teaching experience desirable but not essential).
• Have a genuine desire to work in the education sector.
• Be passionate about supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of children and young people.
• Be knowledgeable about additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties and SEMH.
• Be available on a flexible basis, at least 2 days per week, Monday to Friday, Term Time only.
• Hold a Child only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
