Job summary

Nicholas Associates Graduate Placements is seeking an IT Graduate Application Developer in Sheffield. The role offers training, hands-on development experience, and exposure to the full software lifecycle while working with experienced developers.

You will design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications, and participate in an after-hours support rota with on-call payments. A strong academic background and coding ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Understanding of software development principles and relational databases.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Placement, internship, or project experience in software development.
• Manufacturing industry knowledge.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

The Role

An exciting opportunity for a recent Computer Science, Software Engineering, or IT graduate to join a growing business as an IT Graduate Application Developer. You'll work alongside experienced developers to design, develop, maintain, and support business-critical applications while gaining exposure to the full software development lifecycle.
