What You’ll Get
Our two ‑ year Graduate Development Program is designed to accelerate your growth as you begin your Jacobs career. Through blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you’ll build capability across four key areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy, and developing your personal passions.
You’ll tailor your learning journey to your interests, career goals and technical strengths — creating a graduate experience that’s uniquely yours. Much of your development will come through real project work, supported by your manager and mentor to ensure you gain the experiences that matter most.
The Graduate Development Program isn’t just a steppingstone — it’s a launchpad. You’ll gain the tools, exposure and support to unlock your potential, working on meaningful projects and collaborating with industry leaders to deliver solutions to complex challenges.
About the opportunity
Jacobs is a market leader in the transportation sector, working with major clients like National Highways, Transport for Scotland, Manchester Airport Group, Heathrow Ltd, HS2 Ltd and the Welsh Government. From global mega-projects like King Salman International Airport to local initiatives with councils and transport authorities, we offer opportunities to make a real impact—both worldwide and in your own community.
The successful candidate will be provided with opportunities to support on delivering some of Jacobs most exciting and challenging global pursuits. You will be provided with on‑job training using the latest software tools and will have exposure to various stages of schemes from initial concept through to construction. You will be expected to assist and support colleagues in the preparation of feasibility studies, scheme reports, and highway designs as part of your development to becoming a professionally qualified engineer. As a new graduate within our Highways& Civils team you will have the opportunity to make your mark and influence the continuing growth of Jacobs
