Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Graduate Geo-Environmental Engineer to join their London team. The role offers a clear path to develop technical skills across ground investigation, contaminated land, and environmental reporting within a supportive consultancy.

Ideal for a recent graduate or up to one year’s experience, the role involves fieldwork across London and the UK, with mentoring, chartership support, and hybrid working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geology, Geo-Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Earth Sciences or related subject.
• Ground investigation or contaminated land experience is beneficial.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel across London and the UK.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Full UK driving licence or working towards one.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ground investigations across London
• Soil and rock logging
• Groundwater and ground gas monitoring
• Support Phase I and Phase II assessments
• Environmental and geotechnical sampling
• Assist with contaminated land and remediation projects
• Prepare technical reports
• Maintain project records and documentation
• Support data interpretation and client liaison
