An exciting opportunity for a Graduate Finance Analyst to join a dynamic finance team within the energy sector. This junior-level position is ideal for a finance graduate with around 2 years of experience who is looking to develop a career in management accounting and cost control.


As a Finance Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting financial planning and analysis activities, with a particular focus on cost control, budget monitoring, and reporting. You’ll gain hands‑on exposure to financial processes within a fast‑moving and essential industry while receiving full support towards your CIMA qualification.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support the cost controller in monitoring and analysing project and operational costs

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts, forecasts, and budget reports

  • Provide variance analysis and identify cost‑saving opportunities

  • Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls

  • Collaborate with project teams to track spend, raise purchase orders, and ensure alignment with budgets

  • Support the month‑end and year‑end close process

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function


About You


  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline

  • Around 1-2 years of finance or accounting experience, ideally within an industry or project environment

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills, with attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Enthusiastic about developing a career in finance within the energy sector

  • Motivated to pursue and complete the CIMA qualification (full study support provided)
