Job summary

PwC Channel Islands in Jersey is recruiting a Graduate Associate to join our Assurance practice. You’ll work on market-leading audit engagements, gaining exposure to financial statements, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.

During the three-year programme you’ll study for the Chartered Accounting qualification, supported by mentors and a structured development framework. Travel up to 20% may be required as clients demand.

Qualifications

• 2:1 degree from any university is expected.
• Exposure to audit, governance or risk management is a plus.
• Interest in Chartered Accounting qualification and professional development.

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. In financial statement audit at PwC, you will focus on obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the financial statements as a whole are free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud or error, and to issue an auditor’s report that includes the auditor’s opinion. During our three-year programme you will also study for your professional Chartered Accounting qualification. It’s the variety and opportunity we offer that allows you to develop a broad range of effective business skills and enables our people to excel across the breadth of work we offer, both on the training schemes and further on in your career. Depending on your client’s needs, your time will be split between working at client premises, working in the office and studying for your professional exams. Some travel is possible for work, and you should expect there to be busy times of the year. Who is this vacancy for and what you’ll need
