Job summary

Arcadis is launching a two-year Graduate GROW Programme in the UK. You will join client work and real projects from day one, building technical expertise while developing business acumen through centrally delivered graduate cohort training.

There are no formal rotations, but graduates are encouraged to seek opportunities, travel to site, and contribute to environmental assessments on large-scale infrastructure and master planning projects.

Qualifications

  • Graduating in 2027 or recently graduated in 2025/2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrates Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
  • Hold a full driving licence which allows you to drive in the UK and travel frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate environmental assessments across major infrastructure projects.
  • Provide environmental advice for a diverse range of sectors from feasibility to planning.
  • Develop SEA and EIA input to support planning applications.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders on project delivery.

Role description:

Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, sitting along client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build your technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, whilst business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Although there are no formal rotations, graduates are encouraged and supported by their managers to proactively seek opportunities, to broaden their experience and support their development.

Role accountabilities:

Environmental Management - As part of our integrated town planning, environmental assessment and management service you’ll be instrumental in reducing environmental impacts and where possible enhancing the environmental performance of our clients’ projects. You will be helping to coordinate environmental assessments and providing environmental advice for a diverse range of sectors, working across world-renowned large scale infrastructure projects, mixed-use development schemes, public realm and master planning projects. You will be involved in a variety of work across the life cycle of projects and programmes from initial feasibility studies / optioneering assessments and Strategic Environmental Assessments (SEA) through to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) to support planning applications.

Accepted degrees:

BEng/BSc/BA/MEng/MSc/ MA in an Environmental (Environmental Impact Assessment; Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Earth Sciences (e.g. Geology) subject or equivalent, ideally with accreditation from ISEP or equivalent.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • You must be willing and able to travel frequently and stay away from home as required. A significant portion of your time will involve site work, which may require extended periods away from your home office.
