Job description

Our early careers programme gives you the chance to connect with others across the region / business who are also starting their career, as well as mentoring, Chartership support & bonuses and more., Our Geo-environmental team undertakes a diverse range of projects across various sectors, to deliver geo-environmental and geotechnical consultancy services backed up by in-house ground investigation services. We have an opportunity for two Graduate Engineering Geologist or Geo-environmental Consultants to join our Geo-environment team working in contaminated land, geotechnical assessment, site investigation and brownfield redevelopment across a variety of market sectors including property & regeneration, utilities, defence estates and transport. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to become part of the team with the opportunity to progress their career across a range of exciting projects. The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate that they have a genuine interest in this field and ideally have some limited work experience such as a work placement role.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking desk top study assessments
  • Assisting with the design, procurement, supervision and management of geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations.
  • Accurate collection, analysis and interpretation of site data
  • Producing interpretative contamination and geotechnical reports
  • Undertaking ground gas & groundwater monitoring works and assessment.

Meeting up with colleague and clients face to face in office environments or on site is important for collaboration, face-to-face meetings, appraisals and development.

Qualifications
  • You will have a minimum 2:1 degree in geology, engineering geology, or related subject
  • The enthusiasm and determination to learn and progress within the fields of engineering geology, Site Investigation, contaminated land and brownfield redevelopment.
  • Commitment to studying towards professional qualification eg. Chartered Geologist
  • Strong analytical, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Preferable to have relevant work experience e.g. a work placement
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Full Driving Licence and ideally access to a vehicle
  • Suitability for security clearance
