Curtins is seeking a Graduate Design Engineer in Cambridge to join a collaborative, employee-owned consultancy shaping the built environment across the UK. You’ll work with experienced engineers to design structures and support projects from development through construction.

You'll gain structured development through Curtins Graduate Academy, mentoring, and hands-on experience on diverse projects across sectors, with opportunities to contribute to STEM outreach and community initiatives.

Formación

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with structural calculations and analysis.
• Develop designs using materials such as steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Produce technical reports, drawings and specifications.

• Work with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Learn how structural engineering decisions influence project outcomes.
• Build understanding of project delivery and client requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

You will be involved in designing structures that form the backbone of the built environment, working alongside experienced engineers to create safe, efficient and sustainable solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with structural calculations and analysis.
• Developing designs using a range of construction materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Producing technical reports, drawings and specifications.
• Supporting projects through design development and construction.
• Working with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Learning how structural engineering decisions influence project outcomes.
• Building your understanding of project delivery and client requirements.
• Taking part in wider Curtins activities including STEM outreach, charity initiatives and community projects.
