Job summary

Roke is offering a Graduate Engineer position based at our Romsey site in Hampshire. You will join a two-year graduate scheme, starting with a hands-on Boot Camp and then moving into project teams to tackle challenging problems in RF, embedded software, signal processing and hardware.

You’ll work alongside experienced engineers on customer products and nationwide defence-related systems, gaining broad exposure across domains while developing both essential and specialized skills.

Qualifications

• Hardware design and development expertise.
• Signal processing theory knowledge.
• Embedded software and firmware development background.
• Radio Frequency (RF) foundations and concepts.
• Desirable: knowledge of wireless communications or radar systems.
• Desirable: FPGA design and development.
• Desirable: electromagnetics or antenna design.
• Desirable: acoustics and audio signal processing.
• Desirable: systems engineering and requirements analysis.
• Desirable: practical engineering skills such as soldering, hardware assembly and prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers to develop RF, embedded software, signal processing and hardware technologies.
• Contribute to customer products and solutions across cyber, electronic warfare, and position/navigation domains.
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering challenges during the two-year graduate scheme.
• Participate in Boot Camp and project teams to build a portfolio of work.
