Job summary

This entry‑level role offers hands‑on experience across design, development, testing and manufacturing support, with training provided to build practical skills and apply academic knowledge to real projects.

You will work alongside experienced engineers, assisting across product design, technical development and continuous improvement while developing a broad understanding of how concepts progress

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or related field.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical information and communicate findings clearly.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, development and refinement of technical products.
• Carry out engineering calculations, modelling and analysis to support project work.
• Investigate new technologies, components, materials and design techniques.
• Help develop solutions to meet technical specifications and project requirements.
• Support testing activities, evaluate results and contribute to performance improvements.
• Work with production colleagues to improve manufacturing methods and assembly processes.
• Review technical data, identify trends and prepare reports outlining findings.
• Maintain accurate engineering records, drawings and supporting documentation.
• Provide technical assistance to colleagues across the business when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve product reliability, efficiency and overall performance.
• Contribute to project discussions and collaborate with colleagues from different technical disciplines.
• Take part in training and development activities to build technical knowledge and professional skills.
