Job summary

Novanta invites graduates in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Physics to join a structured two‑year programme within our CO₂ laser business. You will gain hands‑on experience across manufacturing, testing, process improvement, quality and engineering while contributing to medical, industrial and automation applications.

Throughout the 24‑month scheme you’ll progress from learning products to leading projects, supported by mentoring from experienced engineers and opportunities

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Hands‑on approach with curiosity and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Oversee learning of products and manufacturing processes during the programme.
• Lead engineering projects and tackle technical challenges.
• Support process improvement and quality initiatives.
• Participate in new product introduction projects.
• Learn Lean Manufacturing and problem solving methodologies.
• Engage in ECNs, validation activities and manufacturing systems.
• Travel internationally for specialist product training.
• Present work and achievements to senior leaders.

The Novanta Bee Graduate Scheme is a structured two‑year programme designed to develop future Electronics Engineers within our world‑leading CO₂ laser business. You'll gain hands‑on experience across manufacturing, testing, process improvement, quality, and engineering while working on technology used in medical, industrial and automation applications.

What you will do:

Over 24 months, you will progress from learning our products and manufacturing processes to leading engineering projects and solving complex technical challenges.

• Build expertise in electronic assembly, testing and fault finding
• Work alongside experienced engineers and technicians
• Support process improvement and quality initiatives
• Participate in engineering and new product introduction projects
• Learn Lean Manufacturing and problem‑solving methodologies
• Gain exposure to ECNs, validation activities and manufacturing systems
• Travel internationally for specialist product training
• Present your work and achievements to senior leaders
