This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Electronics Design Engineer working within the Raytheon UK Air Traffic Management Business area. The role will provide support to both the radar Design Authority and the hardware development team, and you will be involved in the following tasks:
Responsibilities
- Design analogue and digital circuits for Air Traffic Radar systems under the supervision of the Product Design Authority, taking responsibility for design and overall hardware quality.
- Document design specifications and implementation details; take part in design reviews while upholding hardware design standards and methodologies.
- Realise complex system requirements to provide robust and reliable hardware solutions.
- Collaborate with other team members (hardware and software engineers) to agree system designs, interfaces and protocols.
- Develop appropriate test hardware and procedures, both informal and formal, to prove correct operation of hardware.
- Provide support to manufacturing by answering product queries and resolving technical issues.
- Monitor and report progress of development to immediate supervisor.
- Proactively support company compliance to Health and Safety legislation through adherence to policies, processes and practices.
- Ensure all business activity is conducted in line with company values, policies and ethics codes of conduct.
Candidate Requirements
- Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 2:2 undergraduate degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Electronic Engineering, or Electronic Engineering (already achieved or to be completed by 7 September 2026).
- Completion and possession of SC Security Clearance application (please visit https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/united-kingdom-security-vetting-clearance-levels/national-security-vetting-clearance-levels for more information).
- Flexibility on location and ability to travel to UK facilities and overseas.
- Excellent STEM skills demonstrated through academic achievement.
- Passion for succeeding in a fast‑paced technology industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships.
