Graduate Electrical Project Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage effective project engineering activities, ensuring that all projects within your area of responsibility are designed to specification and delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute as part of a multidisciplinary project team on large-scale engineering projects, collaborating closely with senior and experienced professionals to deliver successful outcomes while developing your project management skills and understanding of the business.
Some of the main activities you will be involved in
  • Performing system studies to meet client’s and G99/Distribution Code/Grid Code requirements.
  • Conducting the Earthing Design and Soil test surveys.
  • Producing simple and conclusive technical reports.
  • Conducting detailed design work for PV/Wind farm connections and distribution substations up to 132kV voltage level.
  • Cable sizing and route design.
  • Supporting senior engineers in the delivery of their projects, ensuring that work is delivered within time and budget and to the customer's expectations.
  • Supporting operational staff and answering technical queries.
  • Consulting with internal and external clients and suppliers to answer technical queries.
  • Conducting the roles and responsibilities within the company's SHEQ requirements.
  • Attend internal and client meetings, and undertake site visits, as necessary.
  • Use specific software such as AutoCAD, CYMCAP, DigSilent Power Factory, PLS CAD, etc. to conduct your role in accordance with your discipline.
Essential Requirements
  • 2.2 Degree or above in Electrical Engineering.
  • IT Literate - Microsoft Products, AutoCAD or equivalent drawing/design software.
  • Must have right to work in UK indefinitely. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship under either the Dependent or Skilled Worker visa routes. Therefore, applicants must have the automatic right to work in the UK indefinitely, without the need for future sponsorship.
