Job summary

Jacobs is seeking motivated graduates to join the two-year Graduate Development Program in electrical engineering. You will work in the Transmission & Distribution team on HV substations, networks, underground cables and overhead lines from 11kV to 400kV, with mentoring and project exposure nationwide.

The role supports progression toward Chartered Engineer status and involves rotations across primary, secondary, cable, and OHL disciplines, plus site and commissioning exposure.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (MEng) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent accredited degree.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, design, and delivery of transmission and distribution projects.
• Support engineering calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Contribute to design reviews, risk assessments, and technical workshops.
• Ensure all work complies with standards, regulations, and procedures.
• Support project delivery activities including cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Attend site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities as required.
