An international energy consulting firm in the UK is looking for graduates to join their two-year Graduate Programme. This role offers exposure to significant energy projects, expert mentorship, and a tailored upskilling framework. Candidates with a BEng/MEng in Engineering disciplines, who enjoy solving technical problems and are keen to learn, are encouraged to apply. Relocation support will be provided, and applicants must be UK sole nationals and residents.
Assystem is an international company with one mission: accelerate the energy transition around the world.
Every day, our 8,000+ switchers located in 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Pacific Asia & Africa) connect their six thousand billion neurons to tackle the task of the century: switching to low‑carbon energy. We are a collective committed to making the energy switch. Sharing our knowledge, expertise and values allows us to innovate and think differently about the energy transition.
Here is how you can be a part of that switch:
Our two‑year Graduate Programme is designed to accelerate your career - giving you exposure to live projects, expert mentorship, and the chance to make a real impact from day one.
Over the two‑year self‑directed journey, you'll gain a unique insight into the nuclear industry. You'll begin with broad exposure across teams and customers, before progressing into more discipline‑focused work that aligns with your ambitions. Expect variety, challenge, and growth - all while contributing to some of the UK’s most significant energy projects.
We’re seeking graduates (or soon to graduate) with a BEng / MEng in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic or Power Engineering (or a closely related discipline) who are eager to put theory into practice.
...then you might be just who we need.
Bonus points if you already have experience or coursework relevant to nuclear, power systems, or industrial control environments.
To join our Graduate Scheme, you must be a UK sole national and a UK resident, as this is required for the type of work we do. You’ll also need to be able to obtain a minimum of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, with some roles requiring higher levels of clearance.
As part of the programme, you should also be willing to relocate or travel within the UK, and we’ll provide relocation support where needed.
More information on the security vetting process and clearance levels can be found on the UK Government website: National Security Vetting: clearance levels.
After submitting your application, you’ll receive confirmation of next steps. If successful at screening, one of our recruitment team will call you to discuss:
Successful applicants will then be invited to attend an in‑person assessment centre at one of our UK offices.
We are committed to equal treatment of candidates and foster all forms of diversity within our company. Bringing together people with different backgrounds and perspectives is essential for creating innovative and impactful solutions. Skills, talent, and our people’s ability to dare are the only things that matter. Bring your unique contributions and help us shape the future.
