Job summary

Arcadis is offering a two-year Graduate GROW Programme in the UK, designed to transition graduates into professional engineers while contributing to real client projects in energy networks and renewables.

Qualifications

• Graduating in 2027 or recently graduated in 2025 or 2026 with at least a 2:2 in a relevant master's or bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrate Arcadian skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking and being a team player.
• Excellent communication and ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working encouraged).

Role Description

Our two-year Graduate GROW Programme supports your transition from student to professional, sitting along client work and real projects from day one. Each graduate’s journey is unique, shaped by their chosen specialism and the variety of projects they contribute to. You will build your technical expertise by contributing to meaningful client engagements and project work, whilst business acumen and professional skills will be developed through centrally delivered graduate cohort training. Although there are no formal rotations, graduates are encouraged and supported by their managers to proactively seek opportunities to broaden their experience and support their development.

Role Accountabilities

Join our inclusive and diverse Transmission and Distribution Engineering team and help shape the future of the UK’s energy system. You’ll work on a broad range of UK and international projects across transmission, distribution, and renewable energy, gaining real project experience while developing your technical skills alongside experienced engineers.

As part of our growing Energy Networks and Renewables (EN&R) team, you could contribute to new grid connections and major 33/132/275/400kV transmission system upgrades across Primary and Secondary engineering, Overhead Lines, Cables, Earthing, EMT studies, and Civil Engineering. You’ll also have opportunities to work in specialist renewable technologies, including BESS, solar PV, hydro, and wind, developing practical solutions to meet our clients’ needs.

From the outset, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your academic knowledge into practical engineering experience, take on meaningful technical challenges, and build a strong foundation for your career. Sustainability will be at the heart of your work as you help deliver efficient, resilient and lower‑carbon energy systems that support the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
