Job summary

A leading engineering firm located in Reading, Berkshire is seeking a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The candidate will be involved in the design of electrical systems for data centre projects globally. This role offers mentorship from senior engineers and opportunities to gain experience in a diverse team. Ideal candidates should have an MEng/BEng in Electrical Engineering or Building Services and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Some work experience or internship relating to building services design would be beneficial, although not essential.
• High quality oral and written communications required.

Responsibilities

• Production of designs and calculations under the direction of senior engineers.
• Design of electrical systems for data centre projects globally.
• Work within a diverse team of electrical engineers located both in the UK and abroad.
• Attend site surveys on large data centre facilities in the UK.
• Use specialist design software and other resources to design the systems required for each project.
• Undertake duties as indicated by the team manager to obtain experience in electrical engineering.
