Frontier Economics in London is seeking a Graduate Analyst to enter the two-year programme at year two for candidates with a PhD in economics or equivalent experience. You will take on responsibility quickly while benefiting from training, mentoring and support.

You will apply your analytical experience to varied consulting questions, developing your commercial perspective and turning rigorous analysis into clear recommendations.

Qualifications

• You will have or be working towards a PhD in an economics-focused discipline, or have equivalent relevant professional experience, alongside a strong academic foundation in economics.
• Strong microeconomic reasoning and confidence applying economics to practical questions.
• Experience with advanced analytical and empirical methods.
• Ability to clarify uncertain problems and identify the evidence that matters.

Responsibilities

• Apply economic theory, empirical techniques and advanced analysis to real-world client problems.
• Work with complex data and models, checking assumptions, robustness and interpretation.
• Help define ambiguous client questions and design proportionate analytical approaches.
• Draw on research and evidence to form well-reasoned, defensible conclusions.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to colleagues and clients.
• Take ownership of workstreams, manage deadlines and raise risks or uncertainties proactively.
• Challenge assumptions constructively and respond to feedback.
• Collaborate across project teams, offices and wider Frontier initiatives.
