Job summary

Arup is seeking graduate ecologists to join its Nature team within Environment, Climate and Sustainability. You will contribute to ecological surveys, data collection, and assessments across high-profile projects while receiving mentorship and structured training.

You'll work with clients and engineers to integrate ecological considerations into design and planning, applying GIS tools and technical reporting from day one.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in ecology or a related field is required.
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to fieldwork/travel.
• Knowledge of UK ecology and legislation; strong writing ability.
• Good communication and teamwork; proficient in MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Undertake ecological surveys and fieldwork to collect habitat data.
• Use GIS and digital tools to collect, analyse and visualise ecological information.
• Prepare technical reporting including surveys and appraisals.
• Support biodiversity assessments and identify mitigation options.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to embed ecology in projects.
