Job summary

Network Plus invites a Graduate Design Technician to join its design team. You will support the design process from site surveys to producing detailed drawings, gaining hands-on experience in the utilities and infrastructure sector.

Ideal candidates are recent graduates or early-career professionals, proficient in AutoCAD, with good IT skills and a willingness to learn GNSS/GPS surveying equipment, and able to work well in a team to meet KPIs.

Qualifications

• Degree or HNC/HND in an engineering, design, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Undertake regular site visits and surveys to gather data for detailed designs and as-laid drawings.
• Produce accurate as-laid drawings using AutoCAD, in line with client asset standards and procedures.
• Liaise with internal teams to ensure drawings are delivered to meet agreed KPIs.
• Represent Network Plus at client walk-off meetings.
• Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and general arrangements to support project delivery.
• Prepare private land notice plans in line with client specifications.
• Provide weekly progress updates to the Design/Commercial Manager.
• Support the design team with administrative and technical tasks as required.
