Job summary

IMC is a research-driven trading firm that integrates quantitative modeling, machine learning, and engineering to shape how modern markets are traded. The Deep Learning Researcher will work with senior researchers to advance state-of-the-art architectures and deployment pipelines for large-scale AI models used in trading.

Qualifications

• Minimum MSc in Machine Learning, Statistics, Deep Learning, Probabilistic Programming, or related quantitative field.
• Final year student graduating in 2027.
• Demonstrated deep learning research or applied ML experience; PhD candidates should have publications at top conferences.
• Hands-on experience with modern DL architectures (e.g., transformers, representation learning).
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Strong communication skills for explaining ideas to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve deep learning models to enhance trading performance under senior guidance.
• Contribute to research in representation learning, transformers, and generative AI.
• Support data curation, feature representation, and self-supervised/multimodal learning.
• Contribute to training infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Stay current with DL research and share relevant findings with the team.
