Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking graduates for Cover Supervisor roles across Wirral secondary schools. You will supervise classes when teachers are absent, deliver pre-prepared lessons, and support pupils with the work provided.

No QTS required, but you should be confident managing groups and communicating with pupils. This role offers daily supply opportunities with potential for short-term and longer-term placements, weekly pay, and a path to teacher training for those considering PGCE,

What Does a Graduate Cover Supervisor Do?

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise secondary school classes when the usual teacher is absent. Lessons and activities will normally have been prepared in advance, meaning you will not be expected to plan and deliver your own teaching curriculum.

• Supervising pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Delivering pre-prepared lessons and classroom activities
• Maintaining positive behaviour and classroom expectations
• Ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged
• Supporting pupils with the work provided
• Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
• Providing feedback to teaching staff
• Building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
• Adapting to different subjects, year groups and school environments

You do not need Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to become a Cover Supervisor. However, you must be confident managing groups of secondary-aged pupils and demonstrate previous experience working with children or young people.

Previous school experience is desirable but not essential, provided you can demonstrate relevant experience working with young people.
