Job summary

Travail Employment Group is seeking a Graduate Controls Engineer in Doncaster to start a career in a specialist machinery environment. You will receive hands-on training while developing skills in industrial automation, commissioning, electrical systems and controls engineering.

The role offers varied work including workshop, site-based and customer-facing duties with UK travel and occasional overseas assignments. Starting salary is £30,000 with overtime and expenses paid.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic/Automation/Mechatronics or related field.
• Strong interest in industrial automation and control systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to travel.
• Full UK driving licence or willingness to obtain one.
• Exposure to PLCs, HMIs or inverter drives is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and commissioning of industrial machinery.
• Support electrical testing and fault-finding activities.
• Learn to configure inverter drives and control systems.
• Assist with modifications to electrical drawings and schematics.
• Support machinery commissioning at customer sites.
• Provide technical support during installation and start-up projects.
• Contribute to technical documentation and commissioning reports.
