Overview

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a trusted, eco‑minded multidisciplinary consultancy known for lending expertise to a diverse range of projects across the transport, infrastructure, and renewable energy fields. They are actively searching for a capable, enthusiastic Civil Engineer who is willing to take on a challenging array of projects within the sector, based near the scenic, richly‑cultural town of Warwick.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing drainage feasibility and highway considerations
  • Authoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
  • Producing detailed drawings and calculations for adoptable highways and drainage (with reference to the relevant Section Agreements, including S278, S38, S104, etc.)
  • Preparing 3D ground models for cut and fill, vertical road profiles, volume calculations, etc.
  • Overseeing design projects from initial inception through to successful delivery
  • Working closely with clients and other stakeholders, including Local Authorities, etc.
  • Acting as a representative of the company at site visits and meetings, etc.
  • Mentoring other colleagues
Required Skills and Experience
  • Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrable experience in the industry, within a UK‑based consultancy setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and a range of other software packages (including the Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to think outside the box when making decisions
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the relevant industry standards and regulations
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Actively pursuing Chartered Status
