Job description

Your work will be diverse, encompassing anything from designing a new junction on the national strategic road network, to designing sustainable drainage systems for a 5,000 home residential development. Your duties could include:

  • Finding the optimum and sustainable design solution for residential infrastructure including drainage and highways.
  • Varied design works for residential and commercial schemes using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and other industry software.
  • Supporting on engineering activities from feasibility all the way through to construction, including the production of detailed calculations, analysis and inspections.
  • Assessment risk on projects and undertaking of risk management to mitigate them.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, bids and proposals.
  • Providing technical guidance on civil engineering matters to the wider project team.
  • Attending meetings and workshops with clients and members of other disciplines.
