Graduate Civil Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Support the appraisal, planning and detailed design of Civil Engineering schemes.
  • Undertake feasibility studies and support flood risk assessments.
  • Produce detailed designs and calculations for adoptable highways and drainage (S38, S104, S278, etc.).
  • Develop 3D ground models for cut and fill analysis and earthworks design.
  • Lie to clients and external agencies, attend meetings and inspections.
  • Progress toward professional chartership.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) and around two years of consultancy experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D (or similar) with strong MS Office skills.
  • Good understanding of Civil Engineering principles, standards and design processes.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
  • Commitment to continued professional development and achieving chartered status.
