Graduate Civil Engineer – £30,000 – £35,000, Exeter

Role

As a Graduate Civil Engineer with Clancy supporting South West Water, you will use data, digital tools and hands‑on insight to help drive smarter, safer ways of working. It is a varied role where you will grow your skills, work on site, and make a real impact from day one.

Key Activities
  • Analyse data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Build dashboards and reports to support day‑to‑day decisions.
  • Support teams with tools like Depotnet, GIS and GPS systems.
  • Manage drone flights and photogrammetry across operational sites.
  • Get out on site to gather imagery, capture data and gain insight.
  • Embed digital tools and best practice across the business.
What We're Looking For
  • Proactive, analytical and solutions‑focused with a natural curiosity and desire to learn.
  • Confidence with data, proficiency in Excel and Power BI, and the ability to explain findings clearly to different audiences.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Full UK driving licence, as site visits are part of the role.
  • Preferred: background or interest in utilities or infrastructure.
