Civil Engineer – Bristol

Salary: £27,000 - £35,000

We are looking for a talented Civil Engineer with 1-5 years of experience to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary consultancy in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects across highways, drainage design, flood risk assessment, and more.

As part of our Bristol team, you will work on a wide range of schemes, carrying out design and calculations for highway and drainage systems, preparing Flood Risk Assessments, and undertaking cut and fill analyses. You’ll also gain valuable exposure to working with Water and Wastewater authorities, with tailored training provided to help develop your expertise in this area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) designs.
  • Providing pre-planning advice and supporting the wider team through the planning process.
  • Designing drainage and highway infrastructure, including S38, S278, and S104 works.
  • Applying knowledge of building regulations relating to drainage, SuDS, private external works, and ground level management.
  • Using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, and Autodesk Civil 3D.

You’ll collaborate closely with in-house specialists across disciplines including Transport Planning, Structures, and Environmental Engineering, ensuring an integrated and innovative approach to every project.
