This is a fantastic opportunity to join my client, an innovative, eco‑conscious multidisciplinary consultancy known for lending their expertise to a diverse range of projects across the transport, infrastructure, and renewable energy fields. They are actively searching for a driven, capable Graduate Civil Engineer who is willing to take on a challenging array of projects within the sector, based near the green, historical city of Sheffield.

Responsibilities For The Role Of Graduate Civil Engineer Include:
  • Assessing drainage feasibility and highways considerations
  • Undertaking Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
  • Producing detailed drawings and calculations for adoptable highways and drainage (with reference to the relevant Section Agreements, such as S278, S38, S104, etc.)
  • Preparing 3D ground models for cut and fill, vertical road profiles, volume calculations, etc.
  • Working closely with clients and other stakeholders, such as Local Authorities, etc.
  • Attend meetings, site visits, etc., acting as a representative of the company
Required skills and experience for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer include:
  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering
  • Some prior experience in the industry, within a UK‑based consultancy setting
  • Excellent working knowledge of Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and a range of other software packages (including the Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Strong analytical skills, and the ability to think outside the box when faced with problems
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the relevant industry standards and regulations
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer include:
  • Outstanding literacy and numeracy skills, particularly when applied to report writing
  • Actively pursuing Chartered Status
