Role Summary
As a Graduate Buyer at Browne, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the necessary materials, equipment, and services are procured efficiently and effectively to support the operations of the company. This role will provide you with hands‑on experience in both the supply chain and procurement.
The successful candidate will be based in our Enfield office initially, with a planned move to Apsley in February 2026; details around this can be discussed further at interview.
Responsibilities
- Source and purchase various goods and services required by internal stakeholders, negotiating contracts, obtaining quotes, and selecting vendors.
- Manage the relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, negotiating favourable terms and prices, evaluating performance, and resolving any issues that arise.
- Monitor and control the costs of materials and strive to find the most cost‑effective solutions without compromising quality standards and ensuring strict adherence to regulations.
- Keep track of inventory levels and ensure that the necessary materials are always available when needed, implementing inventory control systems and enhancing inventory levels to reduce waste and excess.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain to ensure stability of operations, assessing risks related to supplier reliability and market volatility.
- Manage contracts with suppliers to ensure that both parties fulfil their obligations, drafting contracts, negotiating terms, and monitoring compliance throughout the contract period.
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements to make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain and Operation Management, Customer Services, Maths, or related field.

- Ability to negotiate, and an understanding of procurement processes and supply‑chain management principles.
