Responsibilities

  • Prepare designs and specifications.
  • Create Schedule of Condition & Dilapidations reports.
  • Conduct acquisition surveys and assess building pathology.
  • Perform reinstatement cost assessments.
  • Develop planned preventative maintenance programs.
  • Handle party wall matters.
  • Execute general property consultancy tasks.

Graduate Building Surveyor - Hertfordshire

£25,000 - £37,500 (DOE)

A well-established and respected firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Hertfordshire is looking to grow its Building Consultancy team with the addition of a Graduate Building Surveyor. As part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary practice, you'll be working across a variety of commercial property projects, making it an excellent environment to gain broad, hands-on experience and progress your career.

The Role

This role offers the chance to work on a wide range of Building Surveying activities for clients across the commercial, institutional, and private sectors. Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing designs and specifications
  • Schedule of Condition & Dilapidations reports
  • Acquisition surveys and building pathology
  • Reinstatement cost assessments
  • Planned preventative maintenance programs
  • Party wall matters
  • General property consultancy tasks
About You

The ideal candidate will have a RICS accredited degree (Building Surveying preferred, though related pathways such as Project Management are welcome). Previous experience within the property or construction industry would be an advantage, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone keen to learn and grow within the business.

You should also have
  • Strong IT, communication, and organisational skills
  • A valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • A genuine interest in a long-term role with opportunities for career development
