Job summary

BTG Eddisons in the United Kingdom offers a two-year Graduate Building Surveyor programme designed to fast-track your career toward Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

From day one you’ll take real responsibility, gain exposure to diverse projects and clients, and receive mentoring to progress through the APC while developing leadership, communication, and commercial skills across building surveying and project management.

Qualifications

• RICS Accredited degree in Building Surveying or related field.
• Willingness to undertake APC through the BTG Eddisons programme.
• Full UK Driving Licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Client briefing and project inception on building surveying engagements.
• Building inspections, surveys, and reporting for clients.
• Designing projects and writing specifications.
• Preparing reports and providing technical advice to clients.
• Contract administration and delivering projects to time and budget.
• Site supervision and progress meetings with stakeholders.
• Diligent handling of dilapidations, maintenance, and consultancy work.

What You'll Be Doing

As a graduate in our Building Surveying & Project Management team, you'll join us on a two-year journey towards becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor through the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).

• Client briefing and project inception.

• Project design and specification writing.
• Report preparation and technical advice.
• Contract administration and project delivery.
• Site supervision and progress meetings.
• Dilapidations, maintenance, and professional consultancy work.

Alongside your day-to-day responsibilities, we will fully support you through your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), providing mentoring, guidance, and practical experience to help you achieve Chartered status.

Requirements

• RICS Accredited BSc or MSc in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• AutoCAD LT proficiency.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
