Graduate Behaviour Mentor - Cheltenham. SEN Specialist School. ASAP Start - Cheltenham.

Are you a recent university graduate passionate about mental health and behaviour? Do you believe in the power of positive reinforcement and want to inspire young people with challenging behaviour? Are you considering a career in youth work, psychology, or a related field?

An Alternative Provision in Cheltenham is seeking a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join their supportive team on a full-time basis, starting immediately and continuing long-term.

Responsibilities
  • Work with students aged 4 to 19 who have social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day to help students engage positively in learning and develop key life skills.
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting a safe, nurturing, and encouraging classroom environment under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Act as a positive role model to help students build confidence, resilience, and independence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and psychologists on-site as part of the support team.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Graduates in Psychology & Criminology are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with individuals who display challenging behaviour is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate with the right attitude.
  • Need resilience, patience, and a genuine passion for helping young people.
Role Details
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (08:30 – 15:30).
  • Salary: £85 - £95 per day.
  • Location: Cheltenham.
