Are you a university graduate interested in mental health and behaviour? An Alternative Provision just outside of Devizes is looking for a Graduate Behaviour Mentor to join its team on a full‑time basis, starting immediately and continuing long‑term.

Overview

You will be supporting students aged 11 to 18 with mental health needs and behaviour changes throughout the school day, helping to support them socially, emotionally and academically. As a Graduate Behaviour Mentor you will provide both 1:1 and group support under the guidance of the class teacher, manage the students’ behaviour, develop appropriate social and emotional skills and foster a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and group support in the classroom under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Manage students’ behaviour and develop social and emotional skills.
  • Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment and serve as a trusted role model.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists and psychologists on‑site.
Qualifications
  • Recent Psychology, Criminology or related graduate.
  • High resilience and readiness for challenging days.
  • Experience with children and/or adults with challenging behaviour is beneficial.
  • Any experience in a school setting is an advantage.

Salary
